François Dupoux proudly announced a couple of days ago, May 26th, the first point release of his popular SystemRescueCd 2.7 Linux-based operating system for rescue and recovery tasks.

SystemRescueCd 2.7.1 comes with new kernels, the Xfce 4.10 desktop environment, as well as updated e2fsprogs and syslinux packages.

Highlights of SystemRescueCd 2.7.1:

· Updated the standard Linux kernel package to the Long-Term-Supported (LTS) 3.2.18 (with rescuecd and rescue64); · Updated the alternative Linux kernel packages to version 3.3.7 (with altker32 and altker64); · Updated syslinux to version 4.05, fixing the sysresccd-usbstick issue; · Updated Xfce to version 4.10; · Updated Midori web browser to version 0.4.6; · Updated e2fsprogs to version 1.42.3.
