SymmetricDS, an open source software for multi-master database replication, filtered synchronization, or transformation across the network in a heterogeneous environment, is now at version 3.6.1 and it's now available for download.

SymmetricDS supports multiple subscribers with one- or bi-directional asynchronous data replication and uses technologies to replicate tables between relational databases.

This latest update for the software is now as big as the previous one, but the developers have made a number of small modifications. For example, support has been added for the ansi literal default date values, as well as for the well-known sql 92 function types (default values), the custom IColumnTransform is now marked as installed, and postgres now autocommits all the ddl changes.

Also, the ability to sync a control file has been added, support for multiple reload channels has been implemented, downgrades within same minor version are now allowed, the bulk loader for MySQL and a parameter to collect router statistics have been added, the initial load query performance has been improved, the dependency on java service wrapper has been removed, and the spring framework has been updated to the latest released version.
