Syllable, a distribution forged with the goal of creating a reliable and easy-to-use open source operating system for the home and small office user, is now at version 0.6.7.

There are a lot of updates for Syllable 0.6.7 and it is dedicated to Jack Tramiel, the savior of Atari and creator of the Commodore system. Changes include:

· The installation was improved; · POSIX interfaces for memory mapped and async I/O implemented in the Linux kernel; · Intel eepro100 network driver and Intellipoint PS/2 mice now have improved support; · The web browser was fixed to remember cookies again. An FTP client was added; · First 3D support implemented, through porting of Mesa3D and PicoGL; · SQLite now included and Fossil version control system ported.
