Strike Suit Zero, a game developed by Born Ready Games, in which the player controls a combat suite, in space, will be arriving on Linux.

The developers went to Kickstarter to fund their game and one of the goals they’ve set out was Linux support. The project was a success and the money they needed for the game was raised, with time to spare.

“Two weeks into our Kickstarter campaign and we've hit our 100k target. The enthusiasm that's been shown for not just Strike Suit Zero, but the space combat genre in general has been overwhelming, and we'd like to thank each and every one of you for your pledges,” stated the announcement.

The space combat genre is making a comeback especially with the help of Kickstarter. Strike Suit Zero is not the first which raised enough money. Start Citizen, a game developed by Chris Roberst also managed to gather the necessary funds.

Update:

The developer will make a Linux version of Strike Suit Zero if they reach the sum of $180,000 (€140,000) on Kickstarter.
