14 DAY TRIAL // Steam for Linux, the digital distribution platform developed by Valve, has been patched again, this time bringing a fix for a bug that prevented users to run the application as root.
Steam for Linux is still in the Beta stage of development and Valve is making a lot of changes to the client.
Highlights of the new Steam for Linux update:
• CPU usage has been reduced significantly and the UI responsiveness has been improved; • A startup delay caused by scanning for new screenshot files has been fixed; • Suspend all downloads automatically when a game is launched; • The input and display of non-ASCII characters has been improved on Linux; • A bug causing modifier keys to become "stuck" in the overlay has been fixed.
