Valve has launched a new stable version for its Steam for Linux client, bringing a lot of interesting features.
After a development version garners sufficient changes, Valve promotes it to stable. The work for the next beta starts almost immediately.
Highlight of the latest update to the Steam client:
• Support has been added for 64-bit Linux titles; • Finding Steam client skins on Linux is now possible; • A crash that occurred while the user was looking at community images on Linux has been fixed; • The Linux Steam overlay is now restoring the proper mouse cursor; • A resource leak that occurred on game exit and which lead to graphics corruption on Linux has been corrected.
