Steam for Linux Beta Arrives with New Family Sharing Options

Valve has released yet another update for the Beta branch of Steam

Valve has released yet another Beta iteration of its Steam client, featuring just a few of changes and fixes.

The company usually pushes a few Beta updates before upgrading the stable branch of Steam, and now it's time for another build to be available for download.

According to the changelog, a UI has been added for Family Sharing to specify which accounts may play games on authorized computers, a simple rate limit has been implemented to slow down any attempts to guess the Family Options PIN, a crash that could occur when quitting the Steam Client has been fixed, and the Big Picture download progress indicator now correctly start at 0%, not 100%.

Check out the official announcement for more details about this release. You can also download the Steam installer from Softpedia if you don't have the client. In order to get this update you will need to enroll into the Beta program.
