Valve provides some interesting statistics about its users, every month

Valve has released a new Steam Hardware Survey, and the news hasn't gotten better since the results from last month.

Every month, Valve releases a comprehensive statistic about its user base. This statistic usually comprises hardware details, but it also features an OS section that shows what the Steam gamers are using to connect to the client.

The Linux numbers have been dropping constantly and now they have reached an all-time low. Even if the drop is just 0.01%, it's still a drop.

Linux users have been hopping that the percentage will go up because of the Steam Summer Sale, but it seems to have had no effect.

The main reason for the reduced number of players on the Steam for Linux platform is the lack of triple AAA titles. The number of games has increased in the last few months, but no major titles have been added.
