Valve is now teasing the arrival of the supposed Steam Box that will supposedly run Linux, and the launch event is tonight.

Valve's boss and co-founder, Gabe Newell, had a very interesting keynote at the LinuxCon in which he talked about the upcoming Steam Box. Whether this is the actual name or if it's going to be Linux based remains to be seen.

It's unlikely that it will be an actually console, but more of a method of interfacing the PC-based Valve client, which features an option called Big Picture, with the TVs found in most living rooms.

According to the teaser on the Steam website, it will have controllers and a cat. The launch has been set for 5.00 PM (UTC) and everyone will keep guessing until then.
