SolusOS, a modern operating system based on the popular Linux distribution, Debian, which works out of the box, with great support for all modern day computing needs, is now at version 1.1.

According to the developers, users of SolusOS 1.0 should not update if they have “legacy” hardware, but everyone else will benefit from a lot of improvements.

Highlights of SolusOS 1.1:

• Mozilla Thunderbird was updated to version 12.0.1; • LibreOffice was updated to version 3.5.4; • Linux kernel 3.3.6 (with BFS/preempt); • PlayOnLinux was updated to version 4.0.18; • Printer drivers were added; • Plymouth theme was updated; • Hybrid GPU support has been implemented; • Gnome 2.30 desktop environment was implemented; • Several KMS issues were fixed.
