Robert Shingledecker has announced the immediate availability for download and testing of the Tiny Core 5.1 RC1 Linux operating system.

As the name implies, this distribution is known for its small size and versatility. The developer integrates a large number of packages and an attractive desktop.

Highlights Tiny Core Linux 5.1 RC1:

• The Linux kernel has been upgraded to version 3.8.13; • Multi-architecture support has been added; • Support has been added for the $KERNEL parameter; • getbootparam has been updated to properly match a parameter that is a substring.

A complete list of updates and changes can be found in the official announcement. Download Tiny Core Linux 5.1 RC1 right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
