Slax, a modern, portable, small and fast Linux operating system with a modular approach and outstanding design, is now at version 7.0.9 Beta.

A new version of Slax 7.0.9 has been released after a small hiatus in development, and it shows in the included packages.

Highlights of Slax 7.0.9 Beta:

• The Linux Kernel has been updated to version 3.9.7; • KDE has been updated to version 4.10.4; • Mozilla Firefox has been updated to version 22.0; • FireFox now requires icu4c and this dependency has been included in the distribution.
