Slackel, a Live CD Linux distribution based on Slackware and Salix OS featuring the latest version of KDE in the repository, is now at version KDE 4.8.2.

Even if the name is a dead giveaway, Slackel KDE 4.8.2, it is based on the latest KDE Software Compilation released at the beginning of the month and includes the latest current tree of Slackware accompanied by a very rich collection of KDE centric software.

Slackel KDE 4.8.2 also features Bangarang 2.1, a powerful media player for KDE, Clementine 1.0.1, and K3b 2.0.2, a disc burning application.

Other applications that made their way onto the distribution are Calligra, the new standard KDE office suite, Okular, a document viewer, Gwenview, an image viewer, and Ksnapshot, a screenshot tool.

A complete changelog can be found in the official announcement.
