This Linux distribution also features Salix tools and package management feature

Slackel, a Live CD Linux distribution based on Slackware and Salix OS featuring the latest version of KDE in the repository, is now at version KDE 4.8.2-1.

Even if the name is a dead giveaway, Slackel KDE 4.8.2-1, it is based on the latest KDE Software Compilation released at the beginning of the month and includes the latest current tree of Slackware accompanied by a very rich collection of KDE centric software.

Slackel KDE 4.8.2-1 features some new applications such as Firefox 12.0, Pidgin, VLC 2.0.1, Akregator, an RSS reader for KDE, and more.

Some applications in the graphics related section have also been added; Krita, Karbon, Gwenview, KColorChooser, and Ksnapshot.

Slackel 4.8.2-1 also has Salix system tools and package management, as always, is done using slapt-get and its graphical frontend Gslapt.
