Kshutdown 3.2 is a graphical shutdown utility for Linux that allows users to turn off or suspend the computer at the specified time, making this a very handy tool to have.

There are very few applications that cover this type of function, and there are even less that work outside the terminal. Even in the Windows OS you can enter a simple command in the terminal and programs the system to shutdown.

Kshutdown 3.2 does the same thing, but it does it with style. It features a very nice and simple GUI and clean instructions. Moreover, you don't need to be root in order to use it.

The latest version released by the developer brings some very important changes and improvements, especially for the Linux platform. The application has finally received systemd/logind support, which means that OSes that are using that particular init system will be able to run the app (Power Off, Reboot, Hibernate, Suspend).

Also, the developer has added basic Cinnamon Desktop Environment support, which means that Linux Mint users will be able to enjoy Kshutdown. The GNOME 3 desktop environment is now fully supported and the bugs for it have been ironed out.

Check out the changelog for a complete list of new features and updates, including all the previous versions. You can download the KShutdown 3.2 binaries right now from Sofpedia, or you can compile your own version.
