14 DAY TRIAL // Squid, a caching proxy for the Web supporting HTTP, HTTPS, FTP that helps reducing bandwidth and improves response times by caching and reusing frequently-requested web pages, is now at version 3.2.8.
Squid 3.2.8 is mainly a maintenance release, with just a few bug fixes and improvements. Users should upgrade nonetheless.
Highlights of Squid 3.2.8:
• tcp_outgoing_tos/mark ACLs didn’t obey the acl_uses_indirect_client; • Objects that cannot be cached in memory are now cached on disk; • IDENT lookup was using the wrong ports to identify the user; • tcp_outgoing_tos/mark was broken for CONNECT requests; • A crash in FtpStateData::ftpTimeout has been corrected; • Make squid -z for cache_dir rock preserve the rock DB; • Several server connection problems have been fixed.
