David Tavares announced last week that the second Beta release of the upcoming Pear OS 7 Linux operating system was made available for download and testing.

Pear OS 7 Beta 2 fixes even more bugs found in the previous Beta release, cleans the entire system, fixes bugs in CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System), and fixes issues and bugs found in locales.

Just like the previous Beta release, Pear OS 7 Beta 2 is powered by Linux kernel 3.5, and includes the following applications: LibreOffice 4.0.1, Mozilla Firefox, MyPear 4, Pear OS Software Center, Pear Cleaner 2.1, On Air, Pear PPA Manager, VLC Media PLayer, Back Time, Empathy, Adobe Flash Player, Geary Mail, Shotwell, Cheese, Notification Center and Brasero.

Download Pear OS 7 Beta 2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a beta version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
