Shutter, a feature-rich screenshot program that allows users to capture nearly anything on their screen without losing control, is now at version 0.90.
After a six-month development hiatus, another version of Shutter, 0.90, has been launched with quite a few important changes.
Highlights of Shutter 0.90:
• The keybinding code (code needs to be written for every single desktop environment) and the Simple Selection Tool (superseeded by the Advanced Selection Tool) have been removed; • Three plugins, 3Dreflection, 3Drotate, and bordereffects, have been removed due to licensing issues; • A new option to show the main window has been added in the AppIndicator (for Unity users); • This release removes libgnome2-gconf-perl (Gnome2::GConf) dependency.
