This latest version has a new Linux kernel, 2.6.32-220.4.1.el6

Scientific Linux Live CD, a recompiled Red Hat Enterprise Linux put together by various labs and universities around the world, has reached version 6.2.

Scientific Linux Live CD 6.2 is now available for 32-bit and 64-bit flavors and has different window managers for every version. LiveMiniCD has IceWM, LiveCD has GNOME, and LiveDVD comes with GNOME, KDE SC, and IceWM.

This version of Scientific Linux Live CD, 6.2, also has a new Linux kernel, 2.6.32-220.4.1.el6, Mozilla Firefox 3.6.26, Mozilla Thunderbird 3.1.18, and OpenOffice.org 3.2.1 (only for the LiveDVD).

Scientific Linux Live CD 6.2 is based on Scientific Linux 6.2 and was built with Fedora livecd-tools 13.4. It no longer has kmod-ndiswrapper, system-config-printer was added, flash-plugin is installed by default, and gdisk was introduced.
