The distribution features a few important changes and updates

The second release candidate of Scientific Linux 6.3, a recompiled Red Hat Enterprise Linux put together by various labs and universities around the world, is now available for download and testing.

Highlights of Scientific Linux 6.3 RC2:

• OpenAFS has been updated to version 1.6.1-112.sl6. Additionally, this package has been patched to disable NAT pings; • External Repositories for yum have been added; • Updated GPG key list and the CERN's key is now listed; • xorg-x11-server has been changes in order to remove TUV's support URL.

Download Scientific Linux 6.3 RC2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
