Samba 4.1.4, an app that seamlessly integrates Linux/Unix servers and desktops into Active Directory environments using the winbind daemon, is now available for download.

This new 4.1.4 release is now the latest stable version and just a maintenance build, if we judge by the number of changes.

According to the developers, a segfault in smbd has been fixed, along with an SMB2 server panic that occurred when an smb2 brlock timed out.

Also, updates are now allowed on directory write times, the smbclient shows an error if deleting a directory, writing to a directory with -wx permissions on a share is now working properly, and a waf build error on AIX with IBM XL C/C++ has been fixed.

More details about this release can be found in the official announcement.
