Sabayon Linux 10 is powered by Linux kernel 3.5.4 (with BFQ iosched), and it features the GNOME 3.4.2, KDE 4.9, Xfce 4.10, and the new MATE 1.4.1 desktop environments.

The LibreOffice 3.6 office suite is also present in this release of the Gentoo-based operating system, as well as ZFS integration, support for Amazon EC2, improved Rigo, hardened kernels, and Infinality Freetype patches.
