Rygel, a home media solution (UPnP AV MediaServer) that allows users to easily share audio, video, and pictures to other devices, is now at version 0.22.3.

With Rygel, users will be able to browse the media collection from the TV or PS3 on a PC running GNOME, and they will have the possibility to play any of said media.

According to the changelog, some odd build flags have been removed, a workaround has been implemented for an issue with valadoc and code samples, a number of UPnP error codes on object creation have been fixed, the HTTP version is now set as late as possible, a critical problem that occurred on upload has been fixed, a potential crash by null dereference has been avoided, and the Next* values in GetMediaInfo() have been set.

Moreover, the "TRANSITIONING" state has been removed when going to "STOPPED" or "PAUSED_PLAYBACK," a critical error that occurred after the streaming ended has been fixed, and the album art for m4a media has been fixed.

Check out the official changelog for a complete list of updates and new features. You can download Rygel 0.22.3 right now from Softpedia, but this is just the source package. If you want to use this application right now, you will have to check the local repositories or you can employ this PPA (for Ubuntu).
