Yet another unstable release of the Rygel software, a home media solution (UPnP AV MediaServer) for the GNOME desktop environment, has been announced today, March 19, 2013.

Rygel 0.17.10 fixes preferences desktop file, a namespace and typo for errordomain, and a variable expansion in configure scripts.

Also, Rygel 0.17.10 adds some hacks for Samsung TVs, in order to generate proper mime-type for Matroska (MKV) files.

Last but not least, Rygel 0.17.10 reverts change for static titles in MediaExport, displays a proper error message on plabybin errors (GStreamer renderer).

As usual, lots of translations have been updated and many bugs resolved in this development release of Rygel. Please consult the official raw changelog for more details. Download Rygel 0.17.10 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
