Rust, a first-person survival game developed and published by Facepunch Studios on Steam, is now the undisputed best-seller title on the Linux section.

For a game that is still in development and that has an unclear launch date, the title is making quite an impact. It doesn't have any discount and it's up against a lot of other titles that feature generous price cuts, but Rust is ruling the best-selling list.

In Rust, players are thrown into a living online world with only their skill as a weapon and they must survive at any cost. You might stumble upon other people and build a settlement, but you could also become an outlaw and take what you want. The choice is yours.

“The only aim in Rust is to survive. To do this you will need to overcome struggles such as hunger, thirst and cold. Build a fire. Build a shelter. Kill animals for meat. Protect yourself from other players. Contains violence and caveman themed nudity,” reads the official synopsis.
