Clonezilla Live 2.2.1-6, a Linux distribution based on DRBL, Partclone, and udpcast that allows users to do bare metal backup and recovery, is now ready for testing.
Clonezilla Live 2.2.1-6 is now the latest development version for this distribution, and the developers have chosen to move a little faster with the numbering system.
“The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2013/Dec/03),” reads the announcement.
According to the developers, the boot parameter “ip=frommedia” no longer makes the Ubuntu-based Clonezilla Live's vmlinuz boot more slowly, and a couple more fixes have been implemented.
Download Clonezilla Live 2.2.0-22 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
