RUNNING WITH RIFLES, a top down tactical shooter developed and published by Modulaatio Games on Steam, has been released for the Linux platform.

RUNNING WITH RIFLES has joined the titles released in the Early Access Game program, and the developer has promised that they are finally going to take the game out of Beta.

“In RWR, you join the ranks of an army as a common soldier, just like the thousands around you. To your superiors, you're nothing but cannon fodder. The open world approach lets you define your own path and story in the campaign. Push back the enemy with your comrades or go deep behind enemy lines to sabotage their efforts and loot valuable items,” reads the official synopsis.

RUNNING WITH RIFLES provides players with hundreds of locations, a very powerful AI, a realistic cover system, multiplayer support that allows over 40 players, and mod support.

Players will find that the system requirements are also pretty accessible: 1.6 GHz Dual Core processor, 2 GB of RAM, NVIDIA Geforce 6800 minimum, and 400 MB of available HDD space.

More details about the RUNNING WITH RIFLES game can be found on the Steam for Linux website. Keep in mind that this game is in Beta, so you might encounter bugs and other problems.
