Qt, a cross-platform application and UI framework with APIs for C++ programming, is now at version 5.1 Beta.

The Digia developers have announced another development version of Qt, bringing it a little closer to a final version, which should arrive in summer.

Highlights of Qt 5.1 Beta:

• The Qt Quick Controls module is now providing a set of reusable UI components; • The Qt Quick Layouts module bringing an easier, more intuitive, way to manage scalable Uis; • The use of Qt Quick and Widgets together, in the same application window, is now possible; • Qt Sensors has been added as an official module.

Download Qt 5.1 Beta right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
