The second Beta release of the upcoming PyGObject 3.8 library has been announced on March 4, bringing various internal optimizations, as well as lots of bug fixes.For example, many memory leaks have been fixed in PyGObject 3.8 Beta 2, making it much stable than the previous versions. Tests are now executed with G_SLICE=debug_blocks, compilation support on Visual C++ has been fixed, Widget.window, scroll_to_mark and window methods have been added to pygtkcompat, and original GTK/GDK functions are no longer clobbered with overrides.
