Proxmox VE (Virtual Environment), an easy to use open source virtualization platform for running Virtual Appliances and Virtual Machines, is now at version 2.1.
Besides some bugfixes, Proxmox VE 2.1 also brings the new “Virtual Machine Startup and Shutdown Behavior”, a tool that allows users to configure virtual machines (VM) and containers (CT) in order to start up and shut down with the host.
Highlights of Proxmox VE 2.1:
• The GUI has been simplified for users without permissions; • Startup/shutdown ordering has been implemented; • Task logs on node startup/shutdown were improved; • Russian, Italian and Turkish translations were improved; • Corosync cluster stack was updated to 1.4.3; • LVM was updated to 2.02.95, fixing snapshot problems; • Numerous bug fixes.
Users can upgrade from Proxmox 2.0 just by entering the following command in a terminal:
sudo aptitude update && aptitude full-upgrade
