Prison Architect, a game developed and published by Introversion Software, and available for the Linux platform, has just received a massive update.

Prison Architect is part of the Early Access Game program on Steam. The player's role is very simple, to build and manage a maximum security prison.

A large number of changes and fixes have been added to the game. For example, the cashflow is now visible from the very start, the players now receive a bonus to the cashflow based on the number of days without incident, users can now borrow lump sums of money from the bank, and players can sell shares in your prison to private investors and venture capitalists.

Also, the game is now using SDL 2.0 for windowing, mouse/keyboard input, and sound, the display of Jobs in the deployment screen has been improved, and High DPI mode is now supported on certain displays.

The Linux system requirements are also quite low: Ubuntu 12.04 or later, An Intel Core2 Duo 2.4Ghz or Higher / AMD 3Ghz processor, 4 GB of RAM, an Nvidia 8600 / Radeon equivalent (2009 era) video card, and 100 MB of HD space.

More details about this update can be found on the official website. If you are interested in the game, you should check the Steam entry.
