Poöf vs the cursed kitty, a 2D action platformer developed by Arkedo and published by Neko Entertainment on Steam, will receive a Linux version soon.

The Windows version of Poöf has been available for a few months now, but the developers are considering a Linux release for their game.

“Poöf vs the cursed kitty is a mix between tower defense, and platforming action, a game focused on hardcore gameplay, tight controls and choices, inspired by games such as Mario Bros Arcade Game, Orcs Must Die and Super Crate Box. To get rid of your enemies, simply jump on them, or place towers to attack and poos to slow down, use fire knives or bombs, ice winds to freeze enemies and golden eggs for Armageddon,” reads the official synopsis for the game.

There is no official time frame for the release of the Linux version, but it’s safe to assume that it won’t be too long now.

The information about the Linux version is taken from the Steam database and by no means is it completely certain. The Steam Database is a record of data that describes every Steam game and subscription provided by Valve for the Steam service.

Usually, the new entries are first visible in the Steam Database before their official launch.
