PhpMyAdmin, a tool built in PHP that handles the administration of MySQL databases, has been upgraded once more and is now at version 4.4.9.

The latest PhpMyAdmin version that was made available to users is just for bugfixes, but that doesn't mean it's not a good idea to upgrade to the latest version.

According to the changelog, the relation view now lists fields of table in other database, sorting by an alias now works correctly, a false error that occurred before entering reCAPTCHA has been corrected, the central column works again with multiple servers, custom export with backquotes off has been fixed, an infinite internal redirect has been repaired, and the export to gzip no longer saves plain text under Chrome.

A complete list of changes is available in the official changelog, which can also be found in the downloaded source archive. You can download the phpMyAdmin 4.4.9 source package right now from Softpedia, but you will have to compile the package yourself.

Please keep in mind that you don't need to reinstall everything all over again. If you already have PHP installed, you just have to upgrade your current version to the new one. This is a stable one, so there shouldn't be any problems.
