PhpMyAdmin, the popular tool written in PHP and intended to handle the administration of MySQL databases, is now at version 4.2.8.

A new phpMyAdmin build, 4.2.8, has been made available in the series and the developers have released some new fixes and for the tool. It's a maintenance version, so don't expect to see any new major features or changes.

According to the changelog, some odd export behavior has been corrected, PhpMyAdmin is now able to read the property from sql.js, the allowed chart types now match the selected data, when exporting to SQL the CREATE TABLE option AUTO_INCREMENT is no longer ignored, and the column names are no longer duplicated when assigning index.

Also, exporting the partitioned table is now done correctly, importing ODS files with column names no longer fails, a Navigation Error in Nav Tree for Search Results Past the First Page has been fixed, and various other bug fixes and issues have been found and corrected.

A complete list of changes is available in the official changelog, which can also be found in the downloaded source archive. You can download the phpMyAdmin 4.2.8 source package right now from Softpedia, but you will have to compile the package yourself.
