Phoronix Test Suite, codenamed Bygland, the most comprehensive benchmarking and testing platform available for Linux and designed to carry out qualitative and quantitative benchmarks in a clean, reproducible, and easy-to-use manner, is now at version 3.8.

Phoronix Test Suite ( Bygland) 3.8 is the last major update in the series before the 4.0 version that is scheduled to arrive later in the year.

Highlights of Phoronix Test Suite 3.8:

· Longer titles on result files (64 characters expanded on OpenBenchmarking.org) are now supported; · Analyzing compiler option string differences have received minor improvements; · A fix for result file analyzing sometimes not returning hardware changes was implemented; · Detection of Wine trackers or other trackers using a mix of short SHA1s was improved; · Determining and appending release dates on GCC snapshots/pre-releases are now supported.
