Percona Server, an enhanced drop-in replacement for MySQL that will allow queries to run faster and more consistently and to consolidate servers on powerful hardware, is now at version 5.6.14-62.0.
As the version number suggests, this latest build of Percona Server is based on MySQL 5.6.14 and includes changes and bugs fixes.
Highlights of Percona Server 5.6.14-62.0:
• Better log block checksums with new innodb_log_checksum_algorithm variable have been implemented; • Support has been added for the Per-query variable statement; • Percona Server no longer crashes while accessing the BLOB or TEXT columns in the InnoDB table; • Enabling the Enforcing Storage Engine feature no longer leads to errors when the Percona Server has been shutdown.
