Percona Server, an enhanced drop-in replacement for MySQL that will allow queries to run faster and more consistently and to consolidate servers on powerful hardware, is now at version 5.5.33-31.1.
Highlights of Percona Server 5.5.33-31.1:
• The buffer pool mutex split patch, which has been implemented in Percona Server, is no longer causing a race condition;
• The changes that have been made to the RPM scripts for previous Percona Server version are now longer causing the installer to fail;
• The Percona Server shared-compat package is no longer being built with the 5.1.66 version of the client.
According to the developers, this is now the current stable release in the 5.5 series.
