The server edition of the upcoming Pear OS 7 Linux distribution

The first Beta release of the upcoming Pear OS 7 Server Linux operating system was announced a few days ago by the PearLinux developer, David Tavares.

Pear OS Server 7 Beta 1 is here to update various applications and fix some annoying bugs from the previous Alpha release. The system has also been cleaned in this Beta release.

This release also includes an updated version of the MyServer, which allows users to effortlessly manage various services on the Pear OS 7 Server Linux distribution.

Moreover, Pear OS Server 7 Beta 1 includes the following open source server technologies: Apache web server, MySQL database, the Webmin system administration interface, Apache Tomcat servlet container, the Samba file sharing server, the powerful Proftpd FTP server, a UNIX firewall and SSH.
