This is the first release of Parsix with GNOME 3 and LibreOffice

Dubbed Gloria, the first test release of the upcoming Parsix GNU/Linux 4.0r0 operating system has been announced on July 4th.

Parsix GNU/Linux 4.0 Test 1 is based on Debian testing repositories as of July 1st, 2012, it is powered by Linux kernel 3.2.20, X.Org 7.6, X.Org Server 1.12.1.902 and features the GNOME 3.4.2 desktop environment.

Among the applications included in this release, we can mention GNU Iceweasel 13.0, Chromium 18, LibreOffice 3.5.4, Gparted 0.12.1, Empathy 3.4.3.3, GIMP 2.8.0, Grisbi 0.8.9, VirtualBox 4.1.16, xFarDic 0.11.7, VLC Media Player 2.0.1 and Adobe Flash Player 11.2.
