Orca, a free, open source, flexible, and extensible screen reader that provides access to the graphical desktop via speech and refreshable Braille, is now at version 3.7.4.

Orca works with applications and toolkits that support the Assistive Technology Service Provider Interface (AT-SPI), which is the primary assistive technology infrastructure for Linux and Solaris.

Highlights of Orca 3.7.4:

• Cycling amongst saved settings profiles is now possible; • User can now copy and append text from the flat review to the clipboard; • In Firefox, www.google.com links were not presented in braille; • Orca now speaks certain radio button labels in Firefox; • Move the Gecko script to use Orca's label inference code.

A complete backlog of updates and bug fixes can be found in the GNOME repository.

Download Orca 3.7.4 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
