Orca, a free, open source, flexible, and extensible screen reader that provides access to the graphical desktop via speech and refreshable Braille, is now at version 3.7.3.

Orca works with applications and toolkits that support the Assistive Technology Service Provider Interface (AT-SPI), which is the primary assistive technology infrastructure for Linux and Solaris.

Highlights of Orca 3.7.3:

• Support to cycle amongst speech-dispatcher's capitalization presentation options has been added; • A generic UI which can be used in element navigation lists has been created; • A _getAll() method to structural_navigation.py has been added; • A missed call to str.decode() has been removed; • The Splash window, the Main window, and the Quit window have been eliminated

A complete backlog of updates and bug fixes can be found in the GNOME repository.

Download Orca 3.7.3 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
