The Linux users get yet another development release

The development version of the Opera Internet browser has been upgraded by its developers and Linux users will find that it comes with a few interesting changes, although there are no major new features since the previous release.

Opera is now based on Chromium and the devs of this Internet browser took their time to make it available for Linux. Despite the Chromium base, it's pretty different from Google Chrome. On the other hand, it also supports a number of extensions, so it's not all that alien from that browser.

"Here is another update to Opera developer, bringing us to version 27.0.1689.13 (and Chromium version 40.0.2214.10). The main fixes on the Opera side revolve around security and stability improvements to syncing. Please let us know what you think and point any new issues you find," said the devs on the official blog.

The developers have also explained that the autofill sync is now working as it should, Opera no longer crashes when users open links from the Dropbox extension, a sync ‘Learn more’ link has been added in the settings, and numerous smaller fixes have been implemented.

More details about this release can be found on the official website. You can download the latest Opera 27.0.1689.13 version from Softpedia.
