A lot of other packages have been updated in this release

OpenSUSE, a free and Linux-based operating system for PCs, laptops, or servers that you can use to surf the web, manage your e-mails and photos, do office work, and play videos or music, is now at version 13.1 Milestone 3.

According to the developers, this release is not fully functional, let alone stable. The full version is expected to arrive in November 2013.

Highlights of OpenSuSE 13.1 Milestone 3:

• GNOME has been updated to version 3.9.3 (3.10 Beta); • KDE has been updated to version (4.11 Beta); • GCC has been updated to version 4.8; • Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.10.
