OpenSSH, a 100% complete SSH protocol version 1.3, 1.5, and 2.0 implementation which includes sftp client and server support, is now at build 6.5.

According to the developers, OpenSSH 6.5 is mainly a feature-focused release, and you should upgrade as soon as possible.

Highlights of OpenSSH 6.5:

• Support has been added for the key exchange using elliptic-curve; • Support has been added for Ed25519 as a public key type; • A new private key format, that uses a bcrypt KDF to better protect keys at rest, has been added; • Refuse RSA keys from old proprietary clients and servers that use the obsolete RSA+MD5 signature scheme; • Old proprietary clients and servers that use a weaker key exchange hash calculation have been refused; • The ability to whitelist and/or blacklist sftp protocol requests by name has been added.
