Foul Play, a side-scrolling co-op brawler developed by Mediatonic and published by Devolver Digital, has been launched on Steam for Linux.

Information about an impending Linux release has appeared in the CDR database, but the developers from Mediatonic didn't waste any time and Foul Play was made available after just a couple of weeks.

"Foul Play, the side-scrolling co-op brawler set entirely on the grand spectacle of a theatre stage, is now available on both OSX and Linux! You'll play as the daemon-hunter Baron Dashforth, and perform shattering takedowns and reversals to entertain the audience," reads the official announcement.

The Linux system requirements are pretty acceptable: Ubuntu 12.04, a 3GHz Intel or AMD CPU, 2 GB RAM, GeForce 6200 / ATI Radeon X600 w/ 256 MB, and a wired Xbox 360 gamepad. The gamepad is just recommended, not required.

More details about this very interesting brawler can be found on the official Steam website.
