Braveland, a turn-based game developed and published the Tortuga Team, has just landed on the Steam for Linux platform with a 20% discount.

It seems that turn-based games are making a comeback, and the developers from the Tortuga Team have done some great work with Braveland, which feels like a breath of fresh air in an old and established genre.

“You will start as a humble warrior's son whose village was cruelly raided and will end as talented commander of your army. The story will take place in a hand-drawn world and cover many interesting places and characters. Various warriors will join your army - archers, scouts, healers, footmen, arbalesters and more,” reads the official announcement.

As opposed to many other games that eventually make it to Steam for Linux, Braveland was actually launched on all the Steam-supported OSes, which is actually a plus for the game developers.

The system requirements for Braveland are actually pretty low, despite the charming visuals: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, ATI Radeon 4870 HD, Intel HD 4000, or equivalent card with at least 512 MB VRAM, and 500 MB of available space.

The 20% discount for Braveland is set to expire on March 24. More details about the game can be found on the official website.
