OS4 OpenDesktop 1.0, a custom Linux distribution based on Ubuntu that aims for ease of use and user friendliness, has made its debut.

OS4 OpenDesktop is a distribution only available for the 32-bit architecture. It can be installed on legacy 32-bit hardware, but it also runs on newer Ultrabooks and netbooks, the focus being on mobility and cloud computing.

The distribution features a lot of interesting applications such as Audacious as the default music player, Totem as the default video players, and Google Chrome as the default Internet browser.

Also, Google Chrome comes with a large number of preinstalled web apps such as Angry Birds, Pandora, Netflix, Flixter, Gmail, Google Drive, Weather Channel, Google Books, and many others.

A complete list of changes can be found in the official announcement.
