Nuvola Player, an application that is actually a web interface for cloud music services in its own window and provides integration with a Linux desktop, is now at version 2.3.3.

Nuvola Player provides instant access to the music, shows notifications with currently playing song, uses the MPRIS interface, has docking capabilities, and integrates into the Unity launcher.

Before you start thinking that this is just another media player in such a crowded Linux space, you might want to reconsider, because the application is focused on cloud-hosted music services, which are able to provide users with much more music than they could ever hold on their hard disk.

According to the developers, a build error with valac 0.24 has been corrected, support has been added for actionable notification in the GNOME lock screen, a warning about a compatibility issue with desktop notifications for Chrome/Chromium and Google Play Music 4.10 has been added, and a number of translations have been added.

Also, Google Play settings are now applied instantly, occasional JavaScript crashes have been fixed, and the broken feature “Hide Google+ buttons” has been removed.
