The Numix project has showcased one of its new and unreleased themes, on GNOME and Unity, and it looks amazing.

The Numix themes have always been interesting, and the team proposed a style that was completely different from anything that had been done before.

This is just the case with the circle icon set, which changes the feel and look of the operating system, even if it’s something based on Unity or GNOME.

The team also provides an easy way to install and test the new icon set, although it's not finished yet and more updates will be provided. Just open a terminal and enter the following commands: sudo apt-add-repository ppa:numix/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install numix-icon-theme-circle You will also need GNOME Tweak Tool or some other application to change the icons, but it is totally worth your while.

Update: The Numix team pointed out the the Xfce desktop environment is also supported.
