Nitrux OS Icons, a pack of handcrafted icons that are compatible with a lot of operating systems, including Ubuntu 13.04, has been updated to version 3.1.0.

The icons in Nitrux OS are infinitely scalable, which means that they are compatible with a large number of operating systems.

More than 6,000 vector icons have been included in this pack, and all of them are hand-painted. A minimalistic approach has been used to design the icons and to avoid cluttered desktops.

Highlights of Nitrux OS 3.1.0:

• The action icons (toolbar, contextual menus, and so on), Battery panel icons, and 3G panel icons have been revised; • A few symbolic links have been fixed; • Unity web-apps (deviantART, Angry Birds, Amazon Kindle, Google Drive, Linkedin, Google Maps), Distributor logos (Gentoo, Chakra Linux), SETroubleshoot, Qmmp, QMPlay2, SIlicon Empire, Spideroak, Sparkleshare (app, folder, panel icons), mkvinfo, Yakuake, Netflix, Vokoscreen, fcitx, FBreader, Gnome Maps, SuSe Imagewriter, HP Printer Management, Y PPA Manager (custom icons) have been added.

The installation for Ubuntu 13.04 is quite simple and can be done from a terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:upubuntu-com/nitrux sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install nitruxos
